Relationship Issues

Do you need help with problems in your relationships? It could be with a partner, a child, a parent or even a colleague. Few other areas of life are as badly affected by stress, differing expectations, self-beliefs and memories of the past.
When things get difficult in a relationship, trying to sort it out together can feel like pulling on a knot to untie it—the more you pull, the harder it gets to untangle. Friends and family can be a great source of support but often that support comes with complications. You may not want them to interfere, take sides or leave you feeling embarrassed now your innermost feelings are out in the open for all to see. Counselling provides a safe and confidential place to talk about difficulties that you can leave behind in the therapy room.

I don’t currently offer couples-counselling (where both of you are present in the room) but would work with you on your side of the relationship and how it affects you. If you are looking for couples-counselling, you could contact Relate or other therapists via the BACP counselling directory.
